Are there any Photo-buyers that will buy photos from a point and shoot camera.
this St.Paddy day I'll be in the parade. I'll be taken pictures from behind the scene
as the people get ready to march.

My guess is that it would depend on the camera and (assuming it is digital) how many MP's we are talking about. Also how stable the camera was when the pictures were taken, or if it had stablization built in to give a great picture. You might be competing with someone with a better outfit, but if not and you are the only one with the pictures, then you have a good chance. There have been articles in some magazines I have read where a pro photographer got to Hong Kong or some exotic place only to have his camera break down. He used a back up P&S borrowed from his wife and got the assignment covered. If that is all you have, go for it. Ric.

my camera is an 8 mp. and I have it set on stabilization.
I hope to be the only one with a camera behind the scene.
I hope to make enough money so I can buy an DSLR camera.

the day after Ted ( Edward ) Kennedy died I went to his brother (J.F K. )
LIBRARY and took some pictures of pictures of Teddy and his brothers.

what about Getty or Corbis. I took some photos of a Ben Afflic movie that was filmed
here in South Boston.also this April they'll be shooting a movie about my nephew.

John:

As far as Getty goes they have a list of acceptable cameras. These are the cameras that made the list:

"Canon EOS: 1D(Mk1,2&3), 1DS(Mk1,2,2n&3) 5D, 30D and 40D; Nikon: D2X, D2Xs, D3, D200, D300 and the Leica M8. All medium format backs (e.g. backs by Phase One and Leaf etc) produce sufficiently high quality images to be accepted by us."

From Getty's web site.

John:

"Phase One" and "Leaf" are brands of cameras.

When it comes to high-end commercial stock agencies like Getty and Corbis, your camera would not be acceptable.

Sorry.
